Therapy is about exploring the different parts of your story and relationships that impact you the most. Early attachments shape our sense of self-worth, safety, connection, trust, attraction, anxiety, depression, etc.

Therapy is a chance to unpack the hurt and begin to heal. It’s learning healthy integration of past, present and future. Our family of origin and our relationships with parents (or caregivers) influence our adult life – our view of self and other and our relationships – especially romantic ones.

Therapy looks at the inside to change the outside. Our internal experience and narrative propel our interactions and behaviors.

I believe that the person, life and relationships you want are already within you. Sometimes we just need a safe space to process and heal and then learn effective coping skills.

“It’s when we start working together that the real healing takes place.” – David Hume

About the Therapist

I enjoy helping people heal and grow by first being compassionate to themselves. I believe in the healing power of connection. Empathy and emotional vulnerability are key components in my attachment-based therapeutic approach.

I have my Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy/Counseling from Trevecca University. I’m a Licensed Marital & Family Therapist (LMFT) in the State of Tennessee. (license #1376).

I am trained in and practice eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to help clients heal from trauma.

I use an emotionally focused therapy (EFT) framework when working with couples.
